This may be a bit of a cheek but like they say, If you don't ask...

I've got a silver E46 (2000W) 330d Touring on which the roof is extensively scratched.
I wondered what it would look like with a black or very dark blue roof.

I'd like the colour to come down the C post (or whatever it's called) and across the tailgate at the waistline.

There's definitely a pint or two in it plus my eternal gratitude as the other way of finding out that it looks crap would be a bit expensive.

Thanks in anticipation.

No doubt a few people would be happy to give it a bash, but you're going to have to at least meet us halfway by posting up the original pictures you want modifying!

Ah.

The full magnitude of my lack of knowledge is revealed to the world!
I'm ashamed (but unsurprised) to say that it really hadn't crossed my mind.

Now where's my camera and how do I... mutter..mutter...

Perhaps I should come back tomorrow after I've had a nice lie-down.
Thanks for looking. You've restored my faith in humanity.

In Photoshop you can do anything, you don't need a photograph to start with.

Open Photoshop.

File > New > New image

Image > Insert > Car: E46 (2000W) 330d Touring

Image > Adjustments > Colour: Silver

Filters > Roofs > Colour: Black

That'll get you started, then just drag it about a bit nuts

Boody Hell!

I'm touched. And impressed.

But with the best will in the world the chances of me up-loading anything (I can't believe I even typed it) are somewhat remote due my sphere of knowledge being centred around Werthers Originals and incontinence trousers (elasticated waist).

I'll find someone of a less Luddite persuasion and have a go tomorrow.
Did I mention it's an estate with M3 wheels?

I'll get me coat.

Damian, Dear Heart,
You are truly a Prince among men.

And soooooooo nearly there.

In the side view, could the black extend over the top of the doors to meet the black window surrounds and down the rear pillar to level with bottom of window (a bit like a hood)?

Screen pillars remain as is.

Rear view, could the black finish at the swage line immediately above the bmw roundel and cover the little bits of rear screen surround each side that are still silver.

I won't be offended if the only response is "Yeah right"

Looks like I'll be buying some paint as well as pints.

Thanks to everybody but especially L4MB0LUV3R.

THAT'S IT!!!!

I bloody love you!

Miraculously even Mrs 666 thinks it looks good.

I'll post a couple of pictures when it's done.

Blimey, I'm so excited I feel like a twelve year old again.

Although where I'll find one at this time of night I've no idea. (sorry).
