I have an old pre digital Canon EOS 1000F. Is it worth anything or should I give it to the local charity shop?

Cheers

If you find somebody who wants to buy several then let me know, I've got a EOS 1000FN and my wife's old EOS 1000F sitting in the cupboard. I suspect there's not much demand for 20 year old entry level film SLRs now...

Yeah one on Ebay at £11.99, another at £60. I don't want to just give away a camera plus 2 lenses if they are worth something. If they are only worth £20 or whatever than Help The Aged can have em.

The one at £60 has no bids. If you look at the completed listings you can see what they actually go for. About £10 without a lens, maybe £25 with a lens looks about standard. Photography kit usually seems to go for a fair price on eBay.

I think some college/university courses still require the students to shoot on film for some parts of a course don't they? Might be worth asking the local one if that's the case, and seeing if any students want to buy it...

I have to say the one at £60 has no bids though, and I'm certain he won't get anything like that money. Tis a shame, perferctly good kit - but with the cost of processing going through the roof and DSLRs getting cheaper each day, it's inevitable I guess.

My A-level course requires it. Most of the stuff is still film orientated. I got my camera from ebay too.
