Phew - not many "bargains" about. What with the £/¥ effect and whatever, the camera gear didn't look at all good - the "special" prices seemed precisely that for their large size ....

What was a bargain though - and I was so nearly tempted - was £200 off an Epson 2880. Yup - about £450 show price with a BOGOF on the paper - all at the Cameraworld (official Epson reseller stand).

Only tip I can give really.....

Thanks - I'm in 2 minds about going. I'm fairly busy this week anyway but have an afternoon when I'm going past the NEC on the way home.

Think I'll carry on past, save myself £8 and just keep telling myself I dont need new toys smile

Well - I didn't know it could be had for that price....

I thought £550-ish was about the norm. Thanks for that!

Yup, rex and I went yesterday.

Not many bargains at all, we were taking breaks and checking against web prices - pretty much the same to be honest. Rex picked up a Canon 2x Extender for about £10 cheaper than we could find on web just because it was there...

We did get a deal on a 6m x 3m Vinyl background that we wanted, and also picked up the Mk1 tri-flector from TFC that rex has always wanted...

Paper was cheap in some places, but we have too much already and are not printing in-house that much any more. On that note, GraphiStudio seem to have dropped their prices a bit recently.

Nice to stop and watch Guy Gowan for a bit.

Was still stunned by the people walking around with their cameras, always gets me that one - one woman had a 40D with a 100-400 stuck on it!!! (must have thought "I'll put on my biggest whitest lens then people will take me seriously...").

cameraworld have the Sony SAL70200G (70-200mm f/2.8 which I covet) for £1079, about £100 less than you can order it from anywhere reputable that actually has stock. Both they and Jacobs had the A900 for £1499. I really, really wanted to spend a vast amount of money hehe. Obviously those are no use to Canon / Nikon people though.

I managed to get a Sony ring light to fit my 50mm f/1.4 from cameraworld for £99. Discounted from the recommended price of £119 according to the label, strange that sonystyle list it for £329 and the interweb discounters from about £250 up. Think someone made a booboo there.
