Afternoon all,

I'm off on a road trip soon, and quite fancy videoing parts of it, on the move. I don't own any video equipment at all, so I'm looking to buy something to do the job, principally a camera, mount, and a remote mic which I can stick back by the exhaust.

It's quite likely that I'll make very little use of this after the event, so I'm looking for something at the bottom end of the market. Can anyone point me in the direction of a cheap setup which will capture some onboard video?

Thanks.

I thought I'd seen some helmet cameras in the Maplin catalogue but all I find now is www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?moduleno=222045

Thanks - was more thinking of something I could stick on the car with a suction mount. There are loads of small camcorders on eBay but I don't know what I'm looking for!

Doh, for some reason I had 'cycling' in my mind. Fear not, there have been several threads like this before and IIRC GetCarter has some answers.

Just to add I have nothing to do with them!

The Action Cam range would be ideal, but I really want something with a mic-in socket.....
