Memory card help

Bought an alpha 200 camera other day, went to tesco to buy a memory card bought a pro duo card which in catalogue it says supports camera, i then get home and realise i have to buy an adaptor for a compact card or something can someone give me a link to something that would work because im shooting blanks,

According to www.dpreview.com/news/0801/08010701sonydslra200.as... it takes 'Compact Flash' (CF) memory cards.

Further digging reveals that 'ProDuo' is a Sony special memory card format (as if there weren't enough!) - so you can either get the adaptor as you suggest, or take the card back and swap it for CF.

Looks like ill have to, going to jessops tomorrow with the camera, my brother needs a duo stick so i said he can have it for a tenner, which means ill only lose 5 pound, annoyed at my catalogue though.

CFs are expensive at Jessops. Amazon have some good deals - Sandisk Extreme III 4Gb for about £20, I think.

I think the OP's camera is only suitable for CF type 1 & 11.

Im going to jessops (when i finish work), surely as they sell the cameras they can point a noobie with no clue in the right direction.
