Linking Sony DV camera to my Mac

Got old Sony DCR-TRV18E camera and would like to copy the film on DV tape onto my Mac, been reading the Instruction booklet and they seem to be PC oriented.

The USB link doesn't work. How do I get it working together ?

iMove should work. My old Sony DV camera was Firewire not USB though.

I use firewire with my HC96 to my macbook pro- no probs
