Hi everyone,

Recently I have had the opportunity of photographing a couple of private cars with the potential of more in the future, I thought I would show you then and ask for your opinions, please be kind of nice as it's a first for me!

First up is the Corsa;

Next up is the zonda, slight bit of a contrast but very exciting car, wow is it powerful! Make sure you get in one before you pop your clogs!

Nothing ground-breaking but what you've done, you've done well. The cars are evenly lit (maybe a little more ground lighting in the first Corsa shots?) and you've used the ambient light well in the Corsa shoot too. Cropped a little close, maybe, although that's being picky and subjective. Mind your light bursts off the shiny bits (you've concealed the Vauxhall badge, unless that's what you were trying to achieve :P )

With the Zonda, there's one shot where the front wheels would conventionally be turned the other way so you can see the rims. And for the interior I'd prefer the steering wheel to be straight. Well composed on the detail and abstract shots.

You should be pretty pleased with yourself (and not just for blagging the Zonda in the first place.)

I can only echo what AndWhyNot said really.

I expected to come in and find some very drab shots of a corsa and some lovely zonda shots so was pleasantly surprised when the corsa shots look as good, if not better than the Zonda.

Good work.

The Zonda detail shots work well for me, steering wheel should be straight in the last one though.

The rest are all in a bit close for my liking, so there is no context to the photos.

How are you getting more car work if you're off to live in Australia?

Nice pics!

Is the registration of that Zonda lap-related? If so I've seen it about in Hove.

Very nice shots but a couple of thoughts if I may - I just thought that number 2 Zonda shot has a bit of a busy/distracting background and on number 6 I think it would have been better if all of the interior light switch was in the shot and maybe if they all lined up diagonally.
Again they are good shots and well done for getting a trip in the Zonda, must have been great!

Damn >frown Does that totally ruin it?

I suppose the only trouble was, we had limited time and it was in the owners garden, really diffciult to find a great "road"

I did this a few years ago, again like yourself thought I had no choice but to stick it on the lawn. (I got slated)

Always try and use a bit of hard standing be it gravel, dirt tarmac etc.
Grass can be used as a touch of foreground to add colour but you need to be low. (IMO)
