My first shot and a little editing with Paint net with my D5000, well my first ever shot with a proper camera to be honest!! what are the PH opinions, go easy....

[Simpo Two]

Perfectly good shot but very underexposed - practice checking exposure using the histogram display (see manual), and how to adjust if required.

the original photo was much better in terms of exposure, i played around with the contrast and noise features on paint neta dn this darkened it down substantially but you think im on the right tracks?
