Best price for Canon 450d plus lens - Comet - huh?

[apguy]

Contemplating moving into DSLR after my P+S produced some absolute rubbish pictures at the weekend, (low light, poor sensitivity, and loads of noise) so was perusing the lower end of the DSLR scale.

Comet are doing the 450d + 18-55mm IS lens for £449

Which actually appears way less than anyone else. Have I missed something obvious?

PS. I guess this might relegate my Leica iiif (circa 1953) with assorted lenses and filters to the curio cupboard

get the 500D from Ian Kerr for 499......

After a frantic Googling session, I have determined that Ian Kerr (kerso) appears to import these things and resells via eBay. I can't find any detaila for 500D's at £499 though. Is there a secret handshake I need to know? Or perhaps an email address?

Andrew, I've PMd you details. He's highly recommended (not just by me!).
