Last year I used http://www.shutterstock.com/ to get access to bulk images for a project. I recall I paid about £80 for a months access and could download 25 a day. They now charge £149 for a month which works out at about 20p am image if you use up all your allocation every day.

Any suggestions of another bulk download site ( I don't want to pay per image if possible) with a good stock of model released 'people' pictures. I prefer the natural pictures of real people rather than posed good looking people.

I'm not sure what the model of www.istockphoto.com is anymore, but it used to be you buy X credits then buy images against your allocation of credits.

It used to work quite nicely as a web resolution image 'cost' less than a print resolution.

They charge per image, albeit $2 for what I need. Shutterstock used to be very good but a 50%+ price rise means I have to be sure of geting my monies worth before parting with £149.

Have a look at the packages on Fotolia and Dreamstime. They're the other two big "micro-stock" players ...

I think the cost should depend on resolution and usage - though I suppose the latter is impossible to police. 20p is fine for a school project but hardly fair for a stand at Earls Court.

Your able to get your images for ~20p each and your not sure whether your getting your monies worth?

Considering 149gbp wouldn't go very far at a larger agency I think your doing alright, don't you?
