I've had the camera 4 weeks now, seem to take it everywhere, here are some recent examples im quite happy with, C&C please,

Woza.

Flame thrower on the royal mile in Edinburgh (colour)

Like the first and the last ones. The B&W flame-thrower one is pretty good too, but in a more abstract way. Photography is (at least partly) about capturing light, so the I like the way you've gone about that in different ways with those pictures.


One comment is not to feel as though you have to use the whole picture which the camera gives you - try some cropping to focus the viewer's attention on the interesting bits. The lighthouse one, for example, might benefit from being cropped to 10'x8' dimensions so you lose some of the dead space on the right hand side. And maybe try a square crop on the b&w flame thrower ?

Cathedral is suffering from camera shake but I appreciate you may have had no option to get the shot.



Composition is personal so I'll leave that to others.

Tilt monitor 3 degrees anti-clockwise. Ba-Da-Bing - level whistle (couldn't resist).
TBH, I hadn't noticed it wasn't - I like it.

The good thing about taking it so wide is that you can have a play cropping it to get all different perspectives, from the 1 shot.
