Ok, Numpty boy here has just accidently deleted a folder of pics off my external HD!! I thought I was deleting another file so when I got the prompt saying "file is too big for recycle bin, do you want to permanently delete?" I cleverly clicked Yes!!

Is this recoverable? Please, please help!!

Yes (assuming your external drive is a hrad disk not a flash card). But you must write nothing to that drive before hand. The data still exists, but it's essentially been marked as available to be overwritten.

There are a number of pieces of software which can recover deleted data. Put a post int he computing forum and the guys will know whats free/works.
