A RAW processing tip
Discussion
If all 500+ photos from a wedding were taken in exactly the same conditions and all needed exactly the same application of levels and curves, the same white balance and the same highlight and shadow recovery, and were all taken perfectly level, I could indeed just slam them all in a batch process and hit 'go'. Unfortunately for me I care about every single shot, and so every single shot gets processed by hand on its own merits. Very high contrast shots are double-processed and blended by hand to capture dynamic range.
So until they invent software that knows exactly what I want and can do it all with a single click, I'll keep visiting Morrisons

Select all the images you want to convert; tell Lightroom to convert them; click "go"; have a cuppa.
What's onerous?

You're assuming that all images were taken in exactly the same light conditions, with the same level of under/over-exposure, with comparable shutter-speeds and apertures, so require a comparable level of other adjustments (contrast, sharpening, saturation...).What's onerous?

In reality, those amateurs amongst us need PS to recover a good image from the dog's dinner we've just produced in-camera!
