My turn to ask for some advice (Band shoot)
Discussion
Mrs Baz was approached today to see if we would be willing to shoot a German band who seem to be quite well known (I'm bad enough with band names from home in Haggisland nevermind over here in Germany).
We recently did some portrait shots of some local people over here which they got wind of and asked to meet with us and discuss shooting for their new artwork/posters etc...
With it being a band and not single person portrait photography I'm out of my depth a little, but am keen to give it my best shot as always - I have a studio kit that I picked up a while back (2x Elemental 500w lamp jobbies with all the usual gubbings like reflectors, umbrellas etc), but I suppose I'm just looking for some general advice from those who have shot in a similar field previously - the closest I've had to deal with multiple people in is weddings, but obviously shooting a band (not literally) will be that bit different and they will be looking for images that stand out when they're band images stand next to the next one...
Suppose I'm just a little nervous - give me cars to shoot any day of the week, much easier to deal with...so any advice much appreciated - will be a good test for my current level of German anyway as I've been told they can only speak limited English

Interesting.
I guess a lot depends on what setting they're looking to be set in, Industrial, parkland, sitting in a lounge environment / bar etc.
Exactly what I have Mrs Baz primed to ask them tomorrow on the phone prior to us meeting to discuss their wants from the shoot in advance...I guess a lot depends on what setting they're looking to be set in, Industrial, parkland, sitting in a lounge environment / bar etc.
Personally I'd like the gritty industrial style stuff, as I quite like shooting that kind of thing anyway - but for now it's unsure until she speaks to them
