Looking for a HDD Camcorder but not sure what to go for?

I've been looking at bullet cams but was thinking that one of these could do that job and much more.
I would want to be able to fit an external microphone to it as well as a secure way of rigging it to the car and all this with a maximum budget of £400?.

I think you will struggle to get a camcorder under £400 with external mic and HDD.

One camera that is worth looking at is the Panasonic TM10, worlds lightest High Def camera and has a 8gb hard drive built in but stick an SD card in and it will automatically record to sd card when the drive is full.
Great picture quality 1080i and great value.

Thanks, starting to think £400 won't get me muchfrown I really like the Panasonic HDC-SD200 but it doesn't have
an external mic input.

can you bypass the hard drive and record directly onto the sd?
