I've been wanting to get a decent photo of that bridge after heavy rainfall for ages - and it seemed like a good candidate for an attempt at HDR smile.

All comments appreciated.

Looks great, love the water. Would possibly have been just as good without the HDR?

Looks great, very nice first attempt.

Did you do it in Photoshop or another program?

I have tried a couple of times using the Photoshop Merge To HDR and it has looked terrible, although I have had better results getting three layers of different exposures and deleting segments of each layer. But they don't look as vivid as that.

That looks really nice Rasputin. The subtle effect works well.

I've just started with HDR myself.

Here's a Triumph TR3 I did to the extreme.

Love it... but I'd have gone less on the HDR. It's a good enough shot to warrant less interference (IMHO) smile As soon as I saw it I thought HDR (and would have done so even without the hint in the title).

ETA I REALLY want to see the top of the nearest lampost (but that's my particular soapbox/OCD!)

I like the photo, especially the water which is blurred but not overly so, and the light in the window.
The only thing that sticks in my retinas is the chopped lampost but thought I'd better not mention it because it would look like I'm too fussy, but then:

A slice off the top would fix it.

What software are you using to do that?

Thanks for the comments.

I used Photomatix for this. Nice bit of software, makes it easy to tweak all the settings.

And yes it's in Perth thumbup

The lamp-chop doesn't bother me so much, but for the OCD crowd a crop is possible biglaugh
