Agreed, I saw this reported in one of the papers / BBC web site and thought it was a great tribute from his friends to put the pictures up.
I also liked his approach of just taking one image per day and sticking with that even if something better came along later in the day. Must have taken a lot of discipline to keep taking a new picture every day for that long

This has inspired me and a fella at work to take up a photo a day challenge. We're each going to shoot with Film SLRS and 50mm lenses. One film, 400 ISO, 36 exposures and you can only take one shot each day. Once you've clicked the shutter you've comitted for that day. Should force some thought before each shot. At the end of the 36 days we'll stick our films in for development then meet down the pub to see the results. Some other peeps in the office are going to decide which set is better and the looser buys the drinks
