Hmmm... At that altitude it'd make Bono go back to his very 'breathy' 80's sound I'd think!

Weirdly enough 'Magnificent' is a song on their latest album. You're obviously a fan.

Once long ago. Not for years.

I'll need proof that they're better than pretentious has-beens before buying another U2 album.

Looks like it - I wonder how modern cameras would perform at -56C hehe

Although film works by chemical reaction, and they slow down as temperature decreases - so I wonder if the effective filmspeed decreases? I never noticed any problems myself, but then I didn't travel to such extremes!

The same law of physics (or is it chemistry) also explains why batteries work less well when cold.

It's aesthetically a good shot, but even with a "wide angle lens" the perspective and very pronounced earth curvature doesn't seem right.

Doesn't seem right as is you think it's been manipulated or Doesn't seem right as in you can't deal with lens distortion ?

This is my fave fisheye pic . . . in a similar theme although no balloon . . . and smaller mountains . . . Chamonix Valley from the Aig de M
