Sorry I haven't been on much guys - barely used the new camera either which is really making me quite angry frown due to a mixture of moving house and long hours fighting crime! Lol

Anyway... Don't suppose anyone fancies meeting at glencoe this Saturday for a few morning pictures??

I may be in the area, although I was hoping to go further north. All depending on where I can actually get a sunrise(if anywhere). Cant commit myself to a meet or anything because I have to get leave at 3:30 am to get over there in time for a sunrise.

If you see a scabby Fabia Estate or a long-haired idiot standing in a river messing around with a broken tripod he should of replaced ages ago, that would be me.

Well I've just arrived to find I can see about 4 % of the landscape due to cloud cover. frown It was a nice drive up anyway I suppose...

Will fire up some attempts later but I'm not holding out for much...

Hope the sun can get through to give you some "mist" shots at least. Sunny but cold darn sarf.

Blooming hell that's a beautiful photo. Is this done with HDR?

Yeh HDR smile As I said, it was more for fun.

Its only my second multi exposure shot this year actually. But I learnt alot last year through HDR - it was a good learning phase.

great pictures!
I went up Loch Lomond, Inverary, Loch Etive and Oban on Saturday in the red 911. Stopped various places for pictures but didnt get any I was happy with.
It was such a dismal day I couldnt be bothered to get the tripod out the car to do any multiple exposures, having seen your results I wish i had !!

Hi,

I was up in glencoe on Saturday too, actually i think it might have been you i saw a couple times, were you in a grey Escort parked on a couple bridges? I was the guy in the Black Seat Ibiza, wish i had seen this thread before i headed down there, i would have stopped.

you have some amazing photos from Saturday, you must have know about a few of them hiddem gems, it was my first time at Glencoe and will have to very soon.

Are you able to let me know where abouts most of them photos were taken? i have seen loads of great photos from Glencoe before but just never know exactly where they are taken.

Cheers

Chris.

Only two of those are actually in Glen Coe, No3 (I think) and No 4. The others are looking over Loch na h-Achlaise into Black Mount and the last one is Buachaille Etive Mor at the head of Glen Etive.

Nice shots John, I think often these HDR shots do help give an edge to photos which are taken when the light is less favourable. I like your efforts.

Do you have a particular model of processing your shots or do you just keep adjusting until you're happy with each individual shot?

Beautiful shots John. If I any wall spare in this poky wee hoose I'd consider buying a couple of those from you to frame!

If you fancy some company from a fellow West Lothian-ite next time you are headin up that way gimme a shout?

Hi John,

i will give you a shout next time im heading down (im from Aberdeenshire), am planning hopefully beginning of the year if all goes to plan, just a pity i didn't see this thread until after...

Again, Fantastic images, sometimes the HDR look can be way overcooked, but you have found a perfect balance and they look great.

Cheers

Chris.
