Anyone got experience of the John Lewis range of digital Photo frames (specifically the 10" one?).

I know the Sony ones are excellent, having bought my folks an 8" one last year. The Sony Store has the 10" version on offer at £180 at the moment, and I'm fairly sure it has a greater resolution than the John Lewis one (800x480), although I can't find the resolution of the Sony online anywhere I think from what I saw in store it was 1080 x something.

Any comments appreciated!

Have had a look through the manual in PDF format and found this:

Total number of dots:

DPF-X1000N: 1,843,200
(1024 × 3(RGB) × 600) dots

DPF-V1000N: 1,843,200
(1024 × 3(RGB) × 600) dots

They are the only 10 inch frames I could see on the Sony store website so presume you will be looking at one of them.

Thank you. Yes, they are the ones. I only looked at the 'features' on the Sony website, I didn't think to look at the manuals!

So I guess all other things being equal, the Sony frame must be a better image quality, sine the J-L one is only 800 x 480 for the same frame size?
