I need a new point and shoot and have a budget of £1-200, ideally I want a decent optical zoom and for it to be as user friendly as possible.
I've seen this in the sale at Tesco but other than it being a Fuji I know nout about it - http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-7449.aspx
Is it any good or would people recommend anything better for similar or lesd money?

Personally I think that the canon sx200is is the best compact digital on the market at the moment, it is at the top end of your budget but it is a superb camera.

Love my Canon compact (if only I could find it), Ixus IS 85, takes photos easily as good as my 300D ever did.

This is getting good feedback here and on other forums at the moment, so much so that I bought one this week and am very pleased with it.

Canon are offering £40 cash back until the end of January too. They make no mention of it when you buy the camera (except in John Lewis) and its not very easy to find on the website but do a search and it's there.

I found Jessops online to be the cheapest and used a promotional code ( JESSOPS5 ) to get an extra 5% off at the online checkout wink

Thanks guys - The Canon does look a good contender. The Fuji also has a £30 cashback offer making it £145, a saving of £50 over the Canon.
Does anyone have any views on the Fuji before I splash out on the more expensive camera?
