My dogs had enough of being....
Discussion
.....bummed whilst out on walks. Yesterday a little West highland terrier took a fancy to his hind, followed closely by an Alsatian that was so big you just let it ride. Today however his bum was the target of a rather large boxer dog and Wispa has had enough of being treated like an American porn starlett. It was comical to see the Westland take pot luck but clearly Wispa has had enough
The friendly welcome:

soon descended into hoop protection

before Poppy, the dalmatian, eventually came to his help also

We then finished off with some frisby fun

I don't know what is more offensive - that you have dangerous dogs obsessed with anal or that your dog cabal looks like it belongs in the KKK.
And if you had bothered to read the post you will have noticed that the Boxer is not even his....Spactard.I don't know what is more offensive - that you have dangerous dogs obsessed with anal or that your dog cabal looks like it belongs in the KKK.

Simpo - the last cat Wilf caught walked straight in my house like he owned the place - he shortly found out he didn't. I'm sure the owner was unhappy about the vet's bill, but there isn't much I can do when a cat basically puts itself on a plate and I'm certainly not terribly upset about it - I don't want strange cats coming in my house whether I own a dog or not.
Luckily I was there to pull the dog off otherwise I'd have been cleaning up bits of cat off the patio. The cat isn't dead and apart from a few stitches is OK.
Big fan of the "internet talk" comment. Out of everything in the world I could possibly make up, this is definitely the thing I would lie about.
Running into my freezing cold icy garden wearing only underpants whilst watching a dog shaking a cat around like a rag doll is not fun, I assure you, and neither is the smell the cat leaves behind. Nor is giving my dog a bath he doesn't want, cleaning wounds and pulling claws out of his head. That's probably more "Internet Talk".

Well I agree every animal has a right to defend its territory - I thought it was running off the lead and just attacking every cat it could find. What's the smell though? Tomcats use urine to scentmark territory but I didn't think one in a fight would have the presence of mind to pee on the dog!
Anyway, I thought you could train dogs?

Simpo, if you can train a dog not to chase a cat in its own home, you'll be a millionaire! Pretty much all dogs will chase cats, the problem is when they actually catch them! Wilf has never done this on a walk - it's only in the house or garden.
The training comes in when I tell him to let go and he obeys - about as much as you can hope for when the breed is a bull terrier!

I'm not a cat expert but I assume it was wee wee, all I know for sure is it was potent stuff and the dog was covered in it. I made the mistake of sending him to his bed which subsequently stank to high heaven as well. Washed the bed but then the zip broke so had to buy a new bed - that's £30 down the toilet.
I know the cat owner came off worse though...
