It's time to upgrade my camera. Seeing as a housing for a D300s is £2000 if I buy it from Japan, and the D300 housing is £1500, it's quite a saving to go for a D300.

So, how much should I be paying for a good quality D300 off fleabay or similar? £800? £900?

Advice (and free D300) gratefully recieved!

Sorry, I really should read properly. I did wonder why you'd want an old model new.

This might give you an idea... http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread...

How about speaking with Greys of Westiminster? Not personally a fan of the place but many people are. They don't have any D300's listed on their second hand stock list just at the moment but I'm sure their "legandary customer service" would mean they'd give you an idea (of the top end of the market) at what price you could get a good quality D300.

Mifsuds.com which I haven't used but have heard good words about have a D300 listed for £869 (boxed, but no mention of quality)

I can recommend Mifsuds, I've bought a couple of second hand lenses, filters etc from them and they really know their stuff.

Edited for spelling!
