http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/REFURBISHED-NIKON-D5000-10MP...

Can anyone help me out here please?
Prices of so called refurbished cameras are quite cheep (£100 saving) - and refurbished by manufacturer.

Are they worth having or can they be a risk?
Are they new or simply tatt thats been dropped or sent back to manufacturer as it didn't work when it first came out the box?

Cheers,
Lee.

With Nikon it's usually something that's come out of its packaging for some reason and then gone back. There's not a specific thing that's wrong with it. If it's not working they won't knowingly try and sell it.

You need to check what Nikon UK warranty situation - then like most things these days if it works out of the box it'll probably keep working.

But, normally, Nikon are a bit fussy where their refurbs go. So caveat emptor and all that. Best do some research on who these people are and how they come to have stuff - supposing it is from Nikon UK and not a grey import from another country. scratchchin

PS - a bit confusing as to whether this Ebay seller is actually in UK or US. If they are US based you will have to ask youself why they don't sell to the US market, but rather choose to sell overseas!
