Spent the afternoon down at Dungeness today, what an amazing place! Loads of old fishing boats, equipment, crofter cottages, a rather large power station and the end of the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway. Got very lucky with the weather and the light was pretty much perfect.

You can view the full set here.

C&C welcomed as usual.

It is great down there. I was there late last year and went out to the sound mirrors that date from world war 1. A part of england I would like to get back across to.

Good photos. I like the steam train in front of the light house.

Good pics.

I went down on the railway years ago... it's a bloody desolate place! It was completely devoid of any life when I was there, very bizarre!

I didn't get around to them this time but they're one thing I'll be heading for next time. I also want to try and get some better shots of Derek Jarman's cottage as I'm not terribly happy with the ones I got this time.

Class clap

Been down there a couple of times on relative visits sans-camera, you've really caught the emptiness yet somehow avoided the cliched "totally bleak" trap.

Cheers, funnily enough I took a few "totally bleak" shots but didn't like them when I came to process them.

Black and white works well with that lovely wispy cloudy sky.

Like the train one, good timing
