Blurb - first book through

And I've got to wait until I get home to see it.
SWMBO called me to say it had been delivered, and that it is apparently stunning. This is very definitely my definition of frustrating. She's now wanting me to do a book of pictures of her kids for sending up to her mum, and can't wait to see what I put together after our Florida holiday later on this year.
The book has a collection of pictures of our 3 kids, but its been taken on a variety of cameras, from a Nokia N73 all the way through to my Sony A200. Front cover was taken on a Panasonic FT1, back cover on a Nokia N95 .... I'm not particularly patiently waiting to see how they've all come out.

But if you have everything instantly you have nothing to look forward to.
Maybe that's why the more stuff people have, the less happy they are.
True. Its slightly reminiscent of the old 35mm days - send off for processing, then wait ... the anticipation makes it so much more fun. Nowhere near as much fun as my days starting in photography - roll your own B&W film, develop it, print it yourself, experiment with different tones and exposure times.Maybe that's why the more stuff people have, the less happy they are.

Doing the book has made me think considerably more about each picture, just as I used to prior to digital - a good few are still just capturing the "moment", but for landscapes and portraits I'm (finally) starting to think of the overall composition. They'll probably still be a load of tosh, but as long as I'm happy with them ....
