Hi, I have bee taking pics of friends and my own cars for a while now and i would like to add a new style to my sets. I think the best way to do this would be to get one of those car rigs that sucks to the car.

I saw a while ago an advert for about 3 or 4 different types but i can't for the life of me remember the websie or if it was in a sales brochure???

anyone got one and can tell me where I can get one please.

Thanks for taking the time to read this. Any help/advise would be greatly appreciated.

Nic.

Hi, thanks for those replys.

To those of you who have these... I'm thinking the single pole is what i'm gonna go with but the web site says it can only take a max load of 2kg. I have a Canon 5D, It weighs about 2.5kg. I wouls also like to use a flash unit, just for fill in flash (speedlite 580ex), Will it matter that much? Is that just to cover the makers of resposability if the camera falls off the rig? It looks pretty sturdy in the pic....any one who has one use the same set up?

Orrrr....the 3 pole rig takes a load up to 5kg. It looks pretty flimsy in the pics on the web site.
Again same question as above......any one who has one use the same set up?

Any help on this would be much appreciated.

My next step is to contact the seller, I would just like some honest advice from those who use the rigs.

Can't comment on the max weight, but are you sure you'll be needing a flash? It'll only 'freeze' any moving parts (the wheels in particular) and kill the sense of motion.

What i was going to do was take 2 shots the first to get a good bright sharp image of the car. The second shot would have no flash, with the spinning wheels I would put those on to another layer.

But with the wheels spining, even if i did use flash, on a long exposure it would still blur would it not.

I really want to be using the rig at full extension (around the 2 meter mark) and am worried about any wobble, especially with a camera that is on the weight limit-thats where the flash comes in. will have to experiment when i get it.
