Ah i'm just about to pick my budget version up from the post office. I've found out that welding mask glass is the same size as my cokin filter holder so bought one (well 10 to be exact) off ebay for a fiver. If i enjoy the results i'll take the leap and buy the real thing.
i will have the other nine on ebay tonight listed in the photography section if anyone cares.....

Autofocus it with out the filter on, then switch to manual, place filter on and just guess to start with, then hone in until you get it right.
THE 5d mk II allows you to view the scene in live view, zoom in x10 and manual focus, I've never acheived such accurate focusing before particularly on things in the far distace eg the moon.Love the 4th shot of Penmon lighthouse.
The B&W range is made by a company called Schneider Kreuznach down in Bad Kreuznach (near Frankfurt), I had thought about approaching them directly about the ND110 filters in the past as the prices on the street/internet for these are simply nuts (140euro over here and around 90squid in the UK), but they won't sell direct to the public...pity...

I've finally got round to buying a ND110 filter for my Sigma 10-20mm. Love it and still learning but heres a few I like.

C+C welcome. thanks for looking
Great shots mate, ive just also brought one for the same lens, ive not had any positive results yet, mainly down to the weather. Are you using anything else with it like a cpl or any gnd's?

No other filters. It would cause a heavier vignette. I've found that it really brings out the sky like a CPL would and if they dont, just expose for a bit longer or put it up a notch in post processing. Cheers
Cheers for reply mate, add me on flickr as it would be good to see more of your shots with the filter, Dean_ScottCheers

No need to guess. I carry a conversion chart clickyYou’ve done a good job with the WB in PS, but I now take a pic with the filter on and use that to set the custom white balance. Saves all the messing about in PS.
