Point and Shoot Help

I am currently looking for a point and shoot camera.

I have previously owned a Nikon D40 (which i have just sold) and didnt get much use out of it due to the cumbersom nature of having to cart it around + lenses etc. So the idea was to sell it and get a decent point and shoot to toake skiing, to the beach etc.

Having been out of the camera buying market for a few years now does anyone have and advice on what to buy? The budget is around 200 - 250 mark but any less than that is a bonus!

I have been looking at the TZ6 / 7 HD video is not high up on my list so the tz6 could do the trick.

Is the only diff the video aspect ?
