I just Googled this, and there are a few videos on the web made on the 7D.

I am truly shocked - they look awesome.

I am going to ebay by £1500 1080i video camera. The videos I have seen look just as good if not smoother.

Once you attach the redrock kit the 7D and the 5D mkII become excellent cameras for use with video. The shots can be stunning with a really shallow depth of field which is why they are becoming so big. It's stunning that for a camera, plus rig you will prob spend £3.5k, compared with the similar amount on a HD video camera that would look poor!

yup- even the best autofocus will 'hunt' when given moving images. Plus, you might want to pull focus from one actor to another during the scene. Autofocus cant read the script!

Got a friend who's a focus puller for Casualty- it sounds like an incredibly stressful job. get the focus wrong, in a critical scene that might takes hours to reset, and the cast and crew will have you to thank for staying late!
