I have a lot of Canon stuff, an am thinking of getting a new body. General photography and a lot of car stuff. Has anyone got good (or bad) experience with this camera?..
I would be grateful for any information.

I've had both the original and the Mk2 (if you really mean current.) Both absolutely rock, particularly if you haven't had a full-frame camera before. I found myself getting frustrated with the attraction of dirt to the sensor of the Mk1, but apart from that, loved it. Some criticise the autofocus - you might find it a problem if you're shooting racing: it just depends what you're shooting and how you're shooting it. If you're committed to Canon, and you don't want to go to the 1-series, go for it.

Many thanks!..I have the earlier EOS 5D but need a second body; the 1D is a bit too much for my needs and its pretty heavy besides. I will give it a whirl.

5D2 has the same Autofocus which is its weakest point.

21mp great sensor, slight raise in FPS I think (3-3.5) nice LCD, movie mode etc.

Isnt a huge change you'll love it tho for IQ.
