February judging - better late than never!

Sorry about the delay guys,
Its been a bit of a blur since I got back to the UK and to be completely honest the results thread completely passed me by. January was the first time I entered a comp and I was away when the results thread was posted (just got a mail from Dogsey).
So - sorry for the delay!
As yo have figured out I awarded the win to Racinggreen for his great macro shot of a young dragon fly just emerged from its pupae. The focus was crisp and the framing spot on.

Second place goes to paul911 for his shot of new snowdrops poking through the winter soil. Made me feel optimistic that we might have seen the back of the worst of the weather this year. (I can tell you that it was a big shock to come back to -4 and a foot of snow in Scotland!)

Third place goes to Lois with another Macro shot. Its unusual to see a macro flower shot which does not focus on the stamen but I like the depth it gives - it could use a levels/curves tweak to bring up the contrast in the shot, but I like it.
