Camera replacement possibly Bridge camera

My Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7 has just died fairly convincingly I am looking at either replacing it with a similar bridge camera or a good compact, anyone got any suggestions the cheaper the better. The problem I found with my old camera was that it was quite bulky meaning I didn't always take it out when on holiday, but I did like the high zoom (12X). The budget is probably upto £150 but less would be better.

The bigger brother to your camera is great, the panasonic FZ-28 (or FZ-38 is the latest model i think). I had the former and was very happy with it, however have just replaced it with a 50d as i started to get more serious about photography. However it will be bigger and bulkier then your current camera.
