I need to get a few more, and I wondered if anyone had any suggestions for best value at the moment (yonks ago Play.com were doing a great deal, but doesn't seem that way at the moment). Also, I've always bought Sandisk, are the cheaper alternatives comparable?

I have a few Extreme III's (4 and 8 gig), and they're miles better than the Kingston 16 gig I have. Shows in the price mind, but camera writes quicker and I get them off the card within 5 mins

My inclination is to stick with Extreme III as that's what I already have, but thought I'd garner opinion

I use Extreme 3's as well and got an Extreme 4 when I bought the 7D. Good cards and never had a failure in about 7 years of using them.

Extreme IIIs and IVs are not being made any more so you might find some good deals on them if retailers are clearing their stocks for the new ones.

Sandisk now offer the existing Ultra II (15MB/s xfer rate) and the new 'Extreme' (60MB/s) and 'Extreme Pro' (90MB/S).

Ext.III was 30MB/s.

Parkcameras have a few left that seem to be half price. 16GB Extreme 3 for £59.99 or a 8GB Extreme 4 for the same price.
