Just set up a Flickr with some of my shots.

Hello all.
Thought I'd finally get round to setting up a proper Flickr account- had my ancient and battered 300D for almost a year now but not got round to getting out and about with it much... so thought I'd have a rummage through this past years results and see what I actually had. I'm by no means experienced in photography, just a mostly self taught / trial and error taught student with a dodgy camera!
I'd appreciate it if you guys could have a gander through some of my photos and see what you think, I'm keen on learning more about photography and would love to see what I'm doing wrong and if I'm onto doing anything right

Mixture of old and new shots, you can probably tell which are the older ones! Would be very greatful if you could let me know what you think and give me some tips to improve.
Love looking at some of your work on here, its inspirational to say the least.

The light trail ones do nothing for me, imho you need a much darker (and less busy) background. Might just be the high elevation you're taking them from.
Santa is ok, shame that the TV or some other large bright object is over his shoulder. Bokeh is crisp and gives more of a christmassy feel but you have such a narrow DOF in that shot the xmas tree he's holding is not in focus but that's a minor gripe.

Nice sharp pics, gig ones are the best but for the most part as a self taught student who hasn't used the camera much I'd say your doing all right! Keep it up. Its quite a good idea to join groups on flickr as a way of getting your pics seen. You might try ephotozine as well as this has much info on taking pics, reviews, competitions etc. Mark

The gig shots are particularly good, and I like all of the Xmas shots - all in all a great shot - this is very much a Genesis comment of do as I say, don't do as I do but just go for it - I think you have a way keener eye for a shot than I do, so just go for whatever you spot! I added you also.
