Nice photo's, Japan is high up on my list of places I'd love to spend some time travelling around. The contrast of the old traditions and the high-tech modern life really appeals to me.

We bought one...and Becs was especially disappointed, being the affirmed chocaholic that she is!

The custard-filled fish were a lot better though, and the freshly-made okonomiyaki (sp?) wasn't bad either!

I used to love the bean paste filled fish! And yes, okonomiyaki (has to be the Hiroshima style) is brilliant! (but now that I'm a veggie, there's no way I can eat it outside!)

These are great thanks for posting them. I find Japan fascinating and terrifying in equal measure, their culture is at the same time so similar to our and yet so utterly utterly different.

Cue flashback to a business trip I'll never forget but parts of which I'd sooner not remember!
