A couple of tedious minor technical matters - help required

Folks - some help required please (sorry this is boring stuff)

1. Uploading to Photobucket - this has been a pain in the rear! The progress bar goes to 100% right away but just sits there forever and I can't tell if it has worked or not. That's just doing 1 at a time! Is there a 'clever way' to do this or is it just my connection or ISP ?

2. Downloading from the camera (450D) to my laptop - getting lots of errors there too They eventually upload but only after several attempts. Very frustrating and time consuming. I'm just using the boggo windows software (O/S = Windows 7).

I get the card reader bit, but is Flickr really that much better than Photobox ? I'm not looking for anything fancy, just somewhere to host my snaps that will upload them in a sensible way !

You can upload to Photobucket by email - that might work.

I opened a Flickr account and I tried to upload roughly 10 images - it's sitting at about 6% and has been for about 15 mins ! Grrr !!

The pictures I upload to photobucket are all re-sized to 750 pixels wide and take no time at all. Maybe if I tried a full size photo (several meg) it could take forever, but haven't tried it

OK - I've abandoned that and have downloaded the FlickrUploadr.

We shall see ...

Right - the FlickrUploadr thing seems to work well so I will go down that route

Need to move all my junk over from Photobucket now - sheesh!
