Went out to cover the UAE Desert Challenge two weeks ago and finally got round to sorting some of the images out.

Some examples..
Paradecar's Bowler Wildcat.

Team Saluki - who I was supporting / following..

The Ceremonial start took place at the Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi. A lovely building.

This is a link to a quick panorama of the central area of the Mosque. It's 3.3Mb
Here

Our guys doing what they do best.

Malcolm Anderson in his 20 year old Rangie..

A great road to drive when you're in something sporty.

Our guys try levitating to see if it'll give them the edge.

Team Fitec try it on two wheels.

Our guys try the same trick

When the race was over we headed back up to Dubai (our base) and went to see the Burj Khalifa.

Another panorama (quickly shot) but might give you an idea of scale - it's huge on a huge scale.
7.7Mb

Not content with 5 days of 24 hour motorsport we retired to the autodrome to watch some more.

By this time I was photographed out so only captured a couple of shots.

Some vehicles that are missing two wheels

And then the GT100 was the main show.

There we go - a very busy 10 days in the UAE Empty Quarter.

Oh and I forgot a panorama (only a couple of Mb) of the Yas Marina circuit where the scrutineering took place.

Here
