I was just coming on here to ask if all the salt/sand/minerals in the ash would help to make the sunset (and tomorrows sunrise) more spectacular than the norm. I might have to go out and have a look later on.

I will look forward to seeing Mr Carters efforts if we get anything.

He'll be down the pub with the old D3 set up to remotely take the view with some gizmo that'll work out if it's sunsetty enough....

The sun's starting to drop over here in Aachen, but there's a light cover of misty cloud so it's not looking to positive for a nice sunset snap over here...

Nothing to write home about just yet. Time here is 19:49 per PC clock. I'll give it 5 mins or so. Camera is charged and ready in case!

I thought the Icelander's Revenge was their referendum not to pay us any money back.

(Must be nice, getting a referendum on whether not to give vast sums of money to other countries...)

I was there, poised and ready, but there was too much 'murk' in the sky and the sun disappeared behind a false horizon of haze.

So who is up at the crack of dawn to see if that is any better? smile

Just got back in from Dinner. Nothing here (am in Norwich at the mo) to speak of.

It's all a conspiracy I tell you.

(Mind you, if Steve Carter comes up with some fantastic shot there WILL be trouble - that's Trouble with a capital T!)

Fairly clear skies here in London, but the sunset was almost nonexistant!
