Laptop LCD calibration
Discussion
I think I need to calibrate my laptop's LCD monitor as the colours of photos on my camera's screen seem much more pleasing than on my laptop. They've got better contrast and brighter colours.
I suspect my camera (Canon S90) has a better screen than my laptop (IBM X41) but there must be a way of making them similar colour/contrast wise? My graphics card has the ability to adjust brightness, contrast and gamma but I've yet to figure out how to adjust them to get it looking right.
cheers

Calibrations cool (I'd recommend a Spyder), but bear in mind your camera screen is likely better as you say, and is scaled down compared to a desktop/laptop that at the sort of resolutions needed for comparative purposes on say 17" screen, it'd look messy in saturation and contrast
Fine if you want to do that, from the looks of it, it'll shoot RAW (CR2), so just turn everything up
