Hi Guys

Off in a week on holiday and I would like an underwater camera.

Cost is quite prohibited this month so I am thinking about one of the disposable underwater camera's.

I do not want prints though, straight to CD would do fine. Can anyone give me a rough estimate of the cost. At the minute the camera's seem to be around a tenner each for 27 exposures.

If It works out too costly I may punt for one of these. Unless any one can recommend something better.

Thanks

Scott

Its OK answered my own question.

I bought 2 kodak sport camera's (BOGOF - £10) up to 15m depth and processing to CD is £5 per roll

Thanks

At jessops in redditch we have had a new range of waterproof case/bags in, the smallest is £25 for compacts. I am unsure about others store stock, also grab one of the new catalogues. it explains them.
Very easy to use and the cost to cd would be £2 per cd about 100ish photos per cd.

I popped in there at lunch and had a look at this

TBH I think I am safer with the disposable. I don't fancy putting £1k's worth of gear in a bag that could potentially leak.

So that's £30 for one use and stty quality. (well, I wouldn't expect miraclessmile )

You could have bought that:

It's even got full manual control!

I had no idea some underwater stuff was so cheap.

Don't know what the quality swould be like but it's an idea to file away for when I've got some spare time. Shots of ducks - from underneath!

(Or I could get myself banned from the local swimming pool! biggrinwhistle )

No Its £20

Comparing £20 to £90 when I am actually only going to use it once is hardly a fair comparison.

Thanks for the link.
