£10 Binoculars

[Odie]

Any recomendations for a £10 pair of binoculars for my 9yo nephew for animal spotting and for when out walking?

Also for possible use at twilight/night.

Look in the charity shops. Some bargains to be had, seen some with Carl Zeiss (sp?) lenses. May be somewhat better optics than newer cheepies?

I have these and have been impressed by them http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?c... . If you want to stick to your limit, 7DayShop have others that are even cheaper and include free p&p.

Saw a pair of 10x25 in Aldi for £8. Ideal for kids.

ETA not much good in low light conditions though.

Hmm might pop there tonight, always forget about tkmaxx even though I get some great bargains there.

Thanks for all the suggestion, keep them coming.
