GoPro / iMovie

I am thinking of getting a Go Pro for capturing cycling antics. I have had huge problems getting pretty standard formats into iMovie, is there any difficulty with the output format on the goPro?

Which GoPro should I get? Is wide angle good or do I get standard?

That was spooky I was just posting that link.

My GoPro works fine with iMovie and I'm happy with the wide angle... but it really IS wide!

I've been doing mainly suff on boats for a local biz, but I have a Caterham R500 arriving in 6 weeks, so the GoPro will get a lot more use!
