Online Printers

I have always used local printers for images and turned my nose up at online printers. Recently seen some images from an online providor that were very good prints.

Does anyone know of any that do 16x12's so I can give them a go?

ETA just checked and Peak print up to 90"x30"! You do have a 35mp camera don't you? :O)

Photobox, snapfish, Jessops and even the supermarkets will give you some free 6x4 samples to try them all

Have been very dissapointed with photobox in the past.

I'd recommend DS Colour labs for small prints and for larger scale prints its gotta be Peak Imaging.

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but when using an online printers for smaller size prints (say up to 6 x 4), should I be uploading the images from my Canon 450D at full size? Seems to take forever if I do and sometimes the uploads fail (I probably don't have the best broadband).

I normally resize them to the print size I need (at 300ppi), unless there's a possibility that I might be ordering larger sizes in the future. If you resize them in advance, you don't need to worry about cropping.
