thinking of buying studio flash kit, few questions
Discussion
Hi. Been looking at Elemental Lighting Genesis 3 kit. Was wondering if the radio trigger would work with my Olympus E510 (no pc sync socket). Any comments generally would be welcome. Just need the kit to take a few portrait pics of the kids etc. Do you think that 250 w/s will be powerful enough?
Cheers.

'1 x 8 Channel AC Radio Trigger System Reciever'
'1 x 8 Channel DC Transmitter (hotshoe mountable or PC Sync connection)'
If your camera has a hotshoe (central contacts activated when you press the shutter release) then it should work. You press the button, the Tx sends a signal to the Rx to fire the first head and the others slave from that.
Do these units have a recognised fitting (eg Bowens, Elinchrom) or are you tied to Genesis for ever?

Forgot your other question. Yes, in a home studio 3 x 250W should be fine unless you have big softboxes.
Why not look at s/h kit from eBay? Same price, but more power and a pro make. I started with a s/h 3-head Elinchrom set and bought/sold bits as required.
