Just about to put togther one of my son, from 0 to 4 years. I was looking at Jessops simply because i picked up a flyer in thier shop.

Does anyone have any experiences about Jessops photobooks, regarding quality, price, timescale.

Or should I be looking somewhere else ?

many thanks

Nick

Ther are produced by Cewe, they used to be st but we have been set a new one and it is very nice.
Very heavy weight luster paper.

Looking at 2 week turn around as an average. Some come back quicker.

Prices vary, I'm not sure if it is still on but sign up a duff email to the Jessops online thing and they send a code for £6 off a book. Not much but it's money off.

Haven't seen a jessops one, but I would use Blurb anyway, very good and reasonably priced.

I haven't seen the Jessops ones, but have done a couple from Blurb.

Spend about a week sifting through thousands of pics, collating them, reformatting .... then upload to their site (400+ meg isn't a quick upload), and it was 5 working days and we had our copies.

One thing on Blurb - whilst their software is pretty good, if you go that route try to be creative with layouts. My first one was primarily using the default layouts, second book I went custom for virtually every page, amending relating to the subject for each page. Made a huge difference.

Its going to cause me problems after the summer hols. 2 weeks of photos from the DSLR and the panny waterproof, then trying to put together a book specific for each of the kids on their holiday to see mickey mouse .....

Just got my first one back from Blurb today and I must say I'm very impressed, and so was everyone else who saw it. Took me a while to get used to their editing program at first but the product I got from it is just brilliant.

Blurb sounds good, but has anyone tried the Apple books? Being a Apple fan boy I have a leaning towards their products!

Having said that I don't use iPhoto so guess I would have to load my pictures into that first

I want to do a book for the wife of our family holiday to Disney.

I've seen an Apple book and it was good, possibly a bit better than the Blurb equivalent. I've never priced one up but hear they're a bit more expensive. I'm going to get one soon to compare with Blurb.
