Just thought i would share that i bought a new 10-24mm lens today. I love the feeling of new glass.

Nice lens too, bought it especially for Glastonbury in 2 weeks,
That is all

Nope, but i bought the protection for it as i am terribly clumsy. I dropped my whole canon kit off a 350ft mine shoot in north wales.

Over 350 feet a parachute might be more use than a protection kit...

It was down the Croesor Tramway.
It wasnt until we got to the bottom was it that i realised how stupid i was to climb down. It really was a rope and abseil down job. What made it harder was i had to carry down my pack.

The incline was designed with a catenary profile by Charles Spooner of the Festiniog Railway, and fell 205 metres over a horizontal distance of 381 metres, an average gradient of 1 in 1.85. But the steepest part at the top had a gradient of 1 in 0.97, or 46 degrees

Excellent lens, I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it!

All this talk of new gear is making my wallet twitch. I feel a visit to Edinburgh is in order tomorrow smile

I get it everyday, working at jessops. When the 7d came out it took me so much for me not to buy one.
