Which Camcorder

[GallardoOwner]

I am looking to purchase a new camcorder after dropping and smashing my last one, Not too fussed about the budget, I like compact ones, good zoom, Want it to do the basic stuff really good quality but does not need loads of fancy stuff, MUST be easy to use and get onto discs etc as computers are not my strong point, have dozens of recordings still on tape as I never knew how to get the last ones onto CD, Any recommendations that fit my needs ?
