Calgary Stampede

Managed to catch the start of the Stampede during a recent visit to Calgary. First there was the parade, then we went serious drinking, then the next day did the stampede.

Some snappets from the Parade, the drinking and then the stampede.











I must admit - this section of the parade didn't contain what I thought it was going to contain





Then we went drinking...

Where the scenery was most pleasant.

I'm impressed with the low light quality of the Canon.

Then we had a run in with one of the Cowboys from Hell. Whom, to overcome the no alcohol in the streets ban had started drinking out of a diced Pineapple can

I wish I had a contact address for these folk - last photo of the night and it came out quite nice I thought considering they were randoms on the street (even though he does look a bit brokeback).
