Evening,

Hopefully I've posted this in the right place. The neighbours cat has set camp ready for a battle I can't see it winning. It was on the roof for over 4 hours on Sunday and for most of today. House Martin's keep making low passes above it while others enter the nest.

/ Photography content... the 50d and 70-200 f4 is a huge upgrade from a 400d and worth every penny.

Takes a lot to make a cat give up.

I'll bet it'll be up there tomorrow!

The cat should make a leap for one of the birds soon. Could make for an interesting outcome.

I suspect his ears are down for self concealment purposes. Actually, for a large cat parked on a roof he does quite a good job of looking like a lichen-covered rock. With claws.

The skies would be a very different place if cats evolved wings...

I hope the cat fails in its mission.

Had a Housemartin nest above my bedroom window last year

and the chicks make a lovely warbling noise. It's also amusing watching the

to-ing and fro-ing as the mother feeds them.

Now that's one miserable cat, which seriously needs a 'lead aspirin' to relieve the misery.
In it's current position it would make an ideal snack for a passing Buzzard or Heronbiggrin

That's one outcome I hadn't foreseen. If birds were smart the buzzard would pal up with the house martin and use him as a decoy...

Mind you it would need to be a strong buzzard, that cat's a stout bugger.
